In the Eighteenth Century, Rayne is the half-human half-vampire Dhampir and the lead attraction in a carnival's freak-show in Romania. When she escapes, she meets a fortuneteller that tells that her mother was raped by the king of the vampires Kagan and she decides to destroy her father. In her journey for revenge, she meets Vladimir and Sebastian, the leaders of the fortress of vampire hunters Brimstone, and she joins their society. She seeks for powerful talismans to defeat Kagan, while the skilled warriors Vladimir and Sebastian train her to face the forces of Kagan and her human side falls in love with Sebastian.
In eighteenth century Romania, Rayne, a dhampir (half-human, half-vampire), prone to fits of blind blood rage but saddled with a compunction for humans, strives to avenge her mother's rape by her father, Kagan, King of Vampires. Two vampire hunters, Sebastian and Vladimir, from the Brimstone Society persuade her to join their cause.
I would love to know how the hell Uwe boll is still making movies, the idiot who is stupid enough to green light his work deserves just as much as boll to get banned from the movie business. Not only is BloodRayne seriously bad but all his other movies are terrible. The thing however i wonder most is how he can get some half decent actors and actress&#39;s like Michial Madsen or Michelle Rodrigez and some how make their performance&#39;s crap. All the cast act terribly and make bad attempts at changing their accents, the fight choreography is done badly and looks crap, when doing action scenes you should make the fights unorthodox and rough like in real life or unreal but look good, unfortunately its was in between both and came across as though a 10 year old had done it.<br/><br/>Uwe Boll should realise that he has no talent and only succeeds in ruining franchises so all i&#39;m gonna say is:<br/><br/>Stop making movies your head is FUBAR.<br/><br/>0 out of 10.
&#39;BloodRayne&#39; is about Rayne (Kristanna Loken) an 18th century Romania dhampir (half-human, half-vampire) who is seeking revenge on the vampire Kagan (Ben Kingsley) who killed her mother and who is also her father. But the plot thickens when Rayne discovers that Kagan is trying to obtain three elements that could make him invincible.<br/><br/>This movie is a lot like &#39;Blade&#39; meets &#39;Xena: Warrior Princess&#39;. I thought this had a lot of potential and failed miserably. Based on a computer game (first strike against it), this takes a fairly good plot and puts a very bad cast together on a low budget.<br/><br/>There are good actors in this that do a good job. Both Ben Kingsley and Billy Zane are good, but really only have minor roles. The rest seem to have poor direction and the star of the movie (Kristanna Loken) can not seem to act. However, she does look really good in her tight outfits. This probably would have done much better as a made-for-TV movie.

BloodRayne is based on a 2002 video game of the same name by the video-game development company called Terminal Reality. A sequel movie, <a href="/title/tt0896036/">BloodRayne II: Deliverance (2007)</a>, was released direct-to-video in 2007. A third movie, <a href="/title/tt1153546/">BloodRayne: The Third Reich (2011)</a> (2010) also went direct-to-video Yes, completely. The original game is about a dhampir named Rayne who works for the Brimstone society during World War II-era Germany. She battles monsters, vampires, and Nazis along the way; each step brings her closer to battling her father Kagan, a powerful vampire responsible for her mother&#39;s death. The movie version is set in 18h century Romania, where the Brimstone society recruits Rayne to aid them in battling Kagan. Yes. Boll paid them 150 euros each for participating in a scene shared with Meat Loaf. That was revealed in the Stockholm Film Festival by the director himself. In the USA two versions of the movie have been released: an R-rated and unrated version. The unrated version differs from the R-rated version in three violent scenes and contains an alternate ending as well.
